I did a tag a while back telling 6 little known facts about myself. One of the facts was that I love quotes. I didn't really think this was a big revelation, doesn't everyone love quotes? I honestly expected some of the comments for that post to go something like this "I love quotes too! Here's one of my favorites.....Let's be best friends". Not so much. So here are 3 of my favorite quotes. Try to laugh, try to hate, but you will secretly be inspired!

So I pulled these words of wisdom from one of my books of quote collections. Flipping through it I found a few other quotes that I'm a little embarrassed that I took the time to hand write. Understand that I was in 9th grade when I decided these were words of inspiration...

"Know God, Know Peace, No God, No Peace" Definitely a church sign, in my defense, I grew up in the south.

New York New York!

No, I’m not going on a trip to NYC – I wish! But I noticed the other day that almost every show that was in my weekly lineup (was being the key word, boo on the writers strike still not being resolved) is set in New York City. In fact, I think that’s why I started watching them in the first place, don’t care what the storyline is, but as soon as I heard “new york”, I was hooked. I don’t even really like some of them – Serena and Dan are nauseatingly cheesy, but I haven’t missed an episode! And the teasers for Lipstick Jungle, (Modern, New York career women support each other through triumphs and tears that are all part of making it in the Big Apple) – sound an awful lot like SATC and Cashmere Mafia. Anyways, now I’m dying to go to NYC! I have no idea why I’m so obsessed, but apparently it’s not just me since every network has several shows set in NYC. I don’t get it why this is the latest craze, I’m part of it, but I don’t get it! And I can’t even begin to list how many movies are set in NYC, especially where the city gets destroyed - Cloverfield, I am Legend, Independence Day, King Kong, The Day After Tomorrow – why do we care to see it destroyed over and over and over? Here are all the NYC shows I could think of, but I’m sure there are many more. I vote Heroes, Ugly Betty, and Friends as my favorite. What's your fav?

Even though I heart New York, I'm ready for some shows and movies to be set elsewhere. People do live in other areas of the US and have jobs and fall in love and lead fabulous lives - what else do you need for a good romantic comedy (27 Dresses could have been set anywhere - but it was in NYC)...

Sweet Child of MIne

Today Aubrey is six months old - I can't believe it! During those beginning weeks it seemed like it would be impossible for me to endure to this point, but we've made it and it's great! Six months is so much better then 6 weeks. Maybe I have no heart, but I'm I the only one who feels that the first few months aren't enjoyable AT ALL? Zach and I visited some friends on Saturday who have a 4 week old. The mom had been up all night and most of the day and her husband had just gotten home to relieve her. Looking at them I thought, I am SO glad I'm not you! I like that newborns are so tiny, but other then that....Aubrey is just so much fun now. She loves to play with toys and she giggles and she sleeps at night oh so well.

I can get super sentimental, so I had to put Aubrey in this outfit one last time before I retired it. We brought her home from the hospital in this little nightgown and it swallowed her whole. It fits really well at 6 months. Even though I just complained about not enjoying those first few months, I still get all teary thinking about bringing her home for the first time! I love my little girl!

Head: I forgot - it looks darn cute and proportional so who cares?
