Painting Party!

Miss A and I have been wanting to have this painting party for a while now. She had a friend over the other day and I decided to go for it. I'm glad I didn't know in advance how messy things would get or how long it would take me to clean them and the house up...bc I probably wouldn't have done it! But I'm glad I did because they had so much fun and I got some darling pictures of them!

These crazy faces pretty much sum up my daughter - she is such a crazy little nut.

Valentines Day 2011

Hmmm......blogging....I do miss/not miss it. I miss all your blogs. I've been so sad to not check them these past 5 months or so and see what's going on in the lives of those I love but never get to see! But life just got too busy and something had to go! This month was the first time in the past 7 months that I haven't traveled during the month, plus my little side photography hobby turned into more then I had imagined or even intended it to be! It's a constant goal of mine to spend less time on the computer, but....my mom texted me and asked me to update my blog and I figured if my mom can figure out how to text, I can blog! At least once a month maybe....

Another goal of mine is to be better about celebrating holidays with my kids, so here is our belated happy valentines day post to you!
These next two are great representations of Miss A's little tomboy sassy personality. She's a little nut. An endearing and crazy little nut.

My girls! The first time I've taken them to try and get pictures together and I don't think I will try ever again! Miss T is like the sweetest happiest little girl ever....but this brought out the devil in her. It's probably the first time I've felt mad at her, so I decided candids will be it for her for the next few years bc it's not worth feeling mad at this little tator tot!

I know...her hair is awful...it can't be fixed...she chopped it off just to make sure she looked even trashier a few weeks ago.
I used this picture below for a 52 week photo project I'm doing with a bunch of really amazing photographers. We post every Friday so if you want to check it out, link over to my photo blog here! This particular one was for the week "love".
And lastly, around Valentine's day last year I saw these adorable cookie cutters where you could imprint sayings like the classic valentine's hearts. I ordered them right away, but it took until August to get them bc they were so back ordered. So I had a year's worth of anticipation for making these cookies. And holy heck, they were way too much work! 4 separate from scratch batches for the different colors and I had to use a plastic play rolling pin from my girls kitchen to roll all of it out because I don't own one! But they are stinking cute right?? Definitely a once a year and no more type of deal. Just like my blog posting :)

Some big firsts for our BIG girl!

Oh I've been waiting for this day since Baby T was born!! Our big girl has started preschool! About 6 weeks before it started, I jumped into potty training mode (a requirement to start preschool) and it went super quick and easy. So my potty training advice is to wait as long as possible :) Miss A only had like one poopy accident which was more then enough for me.

Anyways, she loves school. Can you see the joy on her face!!
She literally doesn't give me a second glance after she starts into the school. She loves it and looks forward to it.

I'll admit, I was super excited to hang her little calendar on our fridge, so I don't miss really important dates, like "wear brown to school" or "bring something square". I mean, can you imagine if I forgot to do those things? I love packing her little lunchbox (she has 3 lunchboxes already) and packing her little backpack. Of course, this stuff will get old when I have several kids to do it for, but right now I'm loving it. My girl is so grown up!
Her official first day of preschool pictures. I think the cutest part of the whole first day was that Zach called me shortly after I dropped Miss A off and wanted to know all the details, starting with what she was wearing. I love that he's as excited for her as I am.
Going in for the first time.
In other "firsts" for our big girl....the haircut helped, but her hair is still a force to be reckoned with.
And her first dentist appointment! Seeing as Zach is in the dental field, he was really excited for this too and met us at the appointment. Luckily the dentist is a friend of ours and didn't mind me taking some pictures.
She was a little wary at first but was so obedient and still and quiet. She did a great job!
Check out her big scared eyes in the first picture - cracks me up!
And her beautiful cavity free mouth after!
I can't believe how grown up she is getting. And don't even get me started on Baby T! She's HUGE. Oh it's heartbreaking how fast this time is going! But I love it. Even if I usually can't get through a day without pulling my hair out and yelling because of this girl, I do truly love the little booger.
