UTAH
mountains, dry air, "ya" instead of you, craft stores, beige walls, BLUE skies, sunny days, fry sauce, highlighted hair, trucks with enormous lifts, Cafe Rio, "Oh my heck!", best snow on earth, babies everywhere, vinyl lettering - I love it all!
We started off our week with a family reunion at Bear Lake. It's a beautiful place and we stayed at a great location. We had such good time and appreciated Zach's parents putting it all together.

Aubrey did this all day - I'm sure it was the happiest, dirtiest day of her life.

Typical Aubrey - standing up dangerously in her stroller and screaming.

This is classic Utah to me. The brightest bluest cloudless skies you could imagine. Tall dry mountains. Wide open vistas.
I took these pictures early in the morning up Big Springs Park off of Provo Canyon. This is my absolute favorite place to mountain bike. The meadow in these pictures has a singletrack trail all down it. Flying through that huge sunny meadow on a mountain bike is one of the best feelings ever. I found these old pics (disposable camera shots and then scanned, that's how old!) of me different times in that same meadow. I told you I love that place!

Trying out the Florider. There were a bunch of little boys there doing it too who kept snickering at me, but luckily it's been a few years since I cared what pre-teen boys thought of me.
And we visited my cousin Carrie and her family, who I haven't seen in years. Carrie and I were roommates in college and I miss all the fun we had snowboarding, climbing, mountain biking, and waching Friends together. I miss you CCC!

I really do love Utah. So maybe I do find it fun to chuckle about Utah mormons, but in reality, I'd live there in a heartbeat (plus a job for Zach with a fatty paycheck).
