Let the travelogue continue...

UTAH
mountains, dry air, "ya" instead of you, craft stores, beige walls, BLUE skies, sunny days, fry sauce, highlighted hair, trucks with enormous lifts, Cafe Rio, "Oh my heck!", best snow on earth, babies everywhere, vinyl lettering - I love it all!

We started off our week with a family reunion at Bear Lake. It's a beautiful place and we stayed at a great location. We had such good time and appreciated Zach's parents putting it all together.
Aubrey did this all day - I'm sure it was the happiest, dirtiest day of her life.

Typical Aubrey - standing up dangerously in her stroller and screaming.

This is classic Utah to me. The brightest bluest cloudless skies you could imagine. Tall dry mountains. Wide open vistas.

I took these pictures early in the morning up Big Springs Park off of Provo Canyon. This is my absolute favorite place to mountain bike. The meadow in these pictures has a singletrack trail all down it. Flying through that huge sunny meadow on a mountain bike is one of the best feelings ever. I found these old pics (disposable camera shots and then scanned, that's how old!) of me different times in that same meadow. I told you I love that place!

Trying out the Florider. There were a bunch of little boys there doing it too who kept snickering at me, but luckily it's been a few years since I cared what pre-teen boys thought of me.And we visited my cousin Carrie and her family, who I haven't seen in years. Carrie and I were roommates in college and I miss all the fun we had snowboarding, climbing, mountain biking, and waching Friends together. I miss you CCC!

I really do love Utah. So maybe I do find it fun to chuckle about Utah mormons, but in reality, I'd live there in a heartbeat (plus a job for Zach with a fatty paycheck).

Those tender mother daughter moments....

Are you from Tennessee? B/C you're the only ten I see.

I'm way behind since I've been gone so much, but for memory's sake here is a quick glimpse into my 2 weeks spent with my fam in Tennessee.

Believe it or not, this is me with my sisters. I know, we look nothing alike.

Aubrey (you see why we call her Slobbers, slAUBREY, etc) with my parents.Cousins Shannon and Aubrey, they get along more like sisters. Aubrey is truly the most uncuddly baby in the world.
The cutest swimsuit ever.

How cute is this. The first pic is Aubrey at 4 months old and the next is 8 months later. This is making me miss having a little newborn - dangerous!

I have to give Zach some brownie points. A few hours after I got home from Tennessee, I left with my friends to join a mob of screechy teenagers for the Breaking Dawn book release. We are super cool, you don't need to tell us.

And then the next day ditched Zach to go rafting - so here is us finally reuniting. In case you think my pose looks a little awkward, it felt awkward too. We kept retaking this picture b/c I felt my arm looked fat so Zach finally jerked my arm behind my back right before this shot.

Fields

Last week I went rafting with my friend Elise (it was super fun by the way) and on our way we drove past one of the prettiest fields of wildflowers. They went on and on and on and were so gorgeous! I just had to come back with Zach to take some pictures - not the most practical thing since it involved hours of driving, but worth it. I know my posts are always picture heavy, but considering I took 250 pictures there, narrowing it down to ten was quite a feat.

The field

the flowers

the family
and of course....

the AUBREY!

Don't you just want to frolic through this field, barefoot and in a sundress?
